Getting started

How to join every Haven Collective server (and fix connection problems)

Haven Collective runs five servers across three games, and each one is joined a little differently. Rust on PC uses a console command, Rust on PlayStation and Xbox uses the in-game browser, Palworld has its own Community Servers list, and 7 Days to Die connects by IP. This guide puts every method in one place, then walks through the problems people most often hit and how to get past them.

If you only want the address, the box at the top of each game's page always has the current one with a copy button: Rust PvP, Rust PvE, Rust Console, Palworld and 7 Days to Die.

Rust on PC: PvP and PvE

Both PC Rust servers are joined the same way, through the developer console.

  1. Launch Rust from Steam and wait until you reach the main menu.
  2. Press F1. A console opens at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Type the connect command for the server you want and press Enter:
  4. Rust 2x PvP: client.connect play.havencollective.co.uk:25169
  5. Rust PvE: client.connect pve.havencollective.co.uk:23780
  6. Wait for the map and assets to load. The first connection after a wipe can take a little longer, because your game is downloading a brand-new map.

Rust's default port is 28015, so for the PvP server the address works with or without :25169 on the end. The PvE server uses a different port, so you must include :23780, otherwise you will end up trying to reach the wrong server.

Add the servers to your favourites

Once you are in, open the server browser from the main menu, find the server under History, and add it to Favourites. Next wipe you can join with two clicks instead of typing a command. You can also search for "Haven" in the Community tab.

Link your website account

On Rust PvP, type /weblink in chat once you have spawned. That links your game account to your account on this site, so your playtime, Points and leaderboard stats are counted. You only need to do it once.

Rust Console: PS5 and Xbox

Console Rust does not let you type an address, so you join from the browser built into the game.

  1. Open Rust on your PS5 or Xbox and choose Play.
  2. Open the Community tab.
  3. Search for Haven 2x and join.
  4. Favourite it, so it is easy to find again after the next wipe.

The server supports crossplay between PS5 and Xbox, so you can play with friends on the other console. For wipe pings and help, grab the RUST CONSOLE channels in our Discord.

Palworld: PC, PS5 and Xbox

Our Palworld world needs no mods, and it works across PC, PS5, Xbox and Mac.

  1. From the title screen choose Join Multiplayer Game.
  2. Open Community Servers.
  3. Type Haven Collective into the search box, press Search and join.

On PC you can also type palworld.havencollective.co.uk:20737 into the address box at the bottom of the server list and press Connect. Always include the port.

One common trap: the Invite Code option is only for worlds hosted by friends. It gives a "Session not found" error for a dedicated server like ours, so use Community Servers instead.

7 Days to Die: PC on Steam only

Our 7 Days to Die server, Safe Haven, runs mods. Modded 7 Days to Die servers cannot accept console players, so you need the PC version on Steam. There is no crossplay.

  1. From the main menu choose Join a Game.
  2. Choose Connect to IP.
  3. Enter 157.85.95.21 as the IP and 22930 as the port.
  4. Alternatively, search the server list for Safe Haven.

The server uses Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC). EAC is on by default, but if you ever turned it off in the game's launcher, turn it back on, or the server will refuse you.

Fixing common connection problems

Most problems joining a game server come down to a handful of causes. Work through these in order before opening a ticket.

"Connection attempt failed" or nothing happens

  • Check the server is up. Every game page and the home page show whether the server is online and how many players are on. The counts refresh about every five minutes. If it shows offline, it is a restart or maintenance, so give it a few minutes.
  • Check for typos. Colons, dots and the port number all matter. Copying the address from the game page avoids mistakes.
  • Restart the game. If an address has recently changed, your game may still be holding the old one. Closing and reopening it fixes this more often than you would think.

Version mismatch after an update

When a game updates, the server and your client need to be on the same version. On Rust's monthly update day, for example, the server comes back only once the update is out, and you need the update too. In Steam, make sure the game has finished updating, and that you are not on a beta or staging branch (right-click the game, open Properties, then Betas, and choose none).

Stuck loading or crashing on join

  • Verify your game files in Steam (Properties, then Installed Files, then Verify integrity).
  • Close overlays and recording tools you do not need, and make sure you have free disk space. Rust in particular downloads a fresh map each wipe.
  • Update your graphics drivers.

Kicked by anti-cheat

Rust and 7 Days to Die both use Easy Anti-Cheat. Launch through Steam rather than a shortcut that bypasses the launcher, and do not run tools that inject into the game. If you think you were kicked by mistake, open a support ticket with the time and the message you saw.

Palworld says "Session not found"

You are using the Invite Code box. Use Community Servers and search Haven Collective, or on PC use the address with its port.

Still stuck?

Ask in our Discord. Someone from the community or the admin team is usually around and can tell you whether others are having the same issue. For anything that needs a record, such as a ban message you do not understand or a purchase that did not arrive, open a support ticket and include which server, the time and any error text. Once you are in, the new player guide and the FAQ cover what to do next.
